Wake-Up International Youth Center Joins the 2^nd Asian Pastoral Assembly in Vietnam

베트남에서 개최된 제 2차 아시아 사목회의 참석

Wake-up 국제청소년센터는 2026년 1월 8일부터 14일까지 베트남 호치민에서 개최된 제 2차 아시아 사목회의에 참석하였습니다. 본 회의는 연대와 참여, 공동의 역할을 중심 주제로 삼아 아시아 각국 간 협력과 교류의 방향을 모색하는 자리였습니다.

The gathering brought together approximately 55 missionaries and pastoral leaders from various Asian countries, including Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam as well as a representative from Fondacio International (Belgium), highlighting the global and intercultural dimension of the assembly.

본 회의에서는 아시아 각국에서 온 약 55명의 참가자와 함께 벨기에에서 온 Fondacio International의 대표단 중 한명도 참석하여 국제적 교류와 문화 간 협력의 의미를 더했습니다.

Key moments of the program included pilgrimage visits, sharing of mission and community experiences, and a Conference Retreat on personal and collective discernment led by Fr. Francis Lim, SJ, Regional Superior of Malaysia-Singapore. Participants also engaged in orientations on community life and mission priorities for the next three to four years, with a renewed call to synodality for Fondacio and its partners.

프로그램의 주요 일정으로는 순례 형태의 현장 방문, 활동과 공동체 경험에 대한 공유, 그리고 말레이시아-싱가포르 지역 관구장인 Francis Lim 신부님이 진행한 개인 및 공동 성찰 중심의 Conference Retreat이 포함되었습니다.

또한 참가자들은 향후 3~4년간의 공동체 운영과 활동 우선 과제에 대한 오리엔테이션에 참여하며, Fondacio와 협력 기관들이 함께 나아갈 방향에 대해 다시 한번 공감대를 형성하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

As part of the pastoral immersion, participants visited Mai Am Vi Hoang, where they had the opportunity to dialogue with the center’s director and spend meaningful time with the elderly residents. This encounter offered a concrete experience of compassion and presence, grounding the assembly’s reflections in lived pastoral realities and deepening the participants’ understanding of mission through accompaniment.

프로그램에는 Mai Am Vi Hoang 방문이 포함되어 참가자들이 양로원 시설 관계자와의 간담회 및 어르신들과의 교류를 통해 현장 중심의 이해를 넓히는 시간이 마련되었습니다. 이를 통해 논의된 주제들이 실제 사례와 연결되며, 향후 활동에 대한 인식과 공감이 한층 강화되었습니다.

The participation of the Wake-Up International Youth Center reaffirmed its commitment to synodality, intercultural collaboration, and youth-centered mission, strengthening its engagement in the Church’s pastoral journey across Asia.

Wake-up 국제청소년센터의 이번 참여는 협력적 의사결정, 문화 간 협력, 청년 중심의 활동에 대한 센터의 지속적인 의지를 다시 한 번 확인하는 계기가 되었으며, 아시아 전반에서 이루어지는 다양한 교류와 협력 과정에 대한 참여를 한층 강화하는 데 기여하였습니다.
