WE CONNECT: Pilgrimage of Hope (Day 4)

Pilgrims Draw Inspiration from the Life of Fr. Thomas Choi Yang-eop and the “Via Lucis”

 

Haemi, South Korea, November 4, 2025 — On the fourth day of WE Connect: Pilgrims of Hope, participants explored the inspiring life of Fr. Thomas Choi Yang-eop, a devoted missionary priest renowned for his perseverance, pastoral dedication, and service to the Korean Church.

The morning sessions provided insight into his life and mission, encouraging participants to discern ways to embody similar dedication in their own faith journeys.

2025 11 4, 해미 - 넷째 날은 최양업 토마스 신부님의 삶을 돌아보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 오전 시간에는 강의를 통해 최양업 신부님의 일생에 대해 배우는 시간을 가졌습니다.








 In the afternoon, pilgrims walked the “Via Lucis”, a prayerful path reflecting on Christ’s light and presence in moments of struggle. This guided meditation offered participants an opportunity to connect their personal experiences with the hope and guidance found in Christ.

오후에는 해미 읍성에서 '빛의 (Via Lucis)' 걸으며 최양업 토마스 신부님의 삶과 본인의 삶을 함께 돌아보는 시간을 가졌습니다.







 

The day concluded with the “Footprints in the Sand” prayer, a moment of reflection reminding delegates that God accompanies them through every step of their journey, especially during challenges and uncertainty.

저녁에는 'Footprints in the Sand' 이야기와 함께 동행에 대해 돌아보며 위로와 희망을 얻는 시간을 가졌습니다.





WE CONNECT: Pilgrimage of Hope(Day 5)

Pilgrims Unite in Prayer Through Rosary Making and Prayer Intentions

 

Haemi, South Korea, November 5, 2025 — On the fifth day of WE Connect: Pilgrims of Hope, participants focused on prayer, creativity, and solidarity, deepening their sense of unity through meaningful spiritual and cultural activities.

2025 11 5, 해미 - 다섯째 날은 아시아 11개국 청년들이 함께 나라의 현실과 어려움을 나누며 서로를 위해 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다.







 
In the morning, delegates crafted a rosary, with each bead contributed by one of the 11 participating countries and regions. This collaborative activity symbolized the shared faith and interconnectedness of Asian youth on their journey of hope and service.

오전에는 11개국 참가자들이 각자 준비한 묵주알로 묵주를 만드는 활동을 하였습니다.






 The afternoon was dedicated to sharing prayer intentions, as each delegation reflected on the challenges, hopes, and dreams of their home communities. Participants then designed their own country altars, combining faith, culture, and creativity in a visual expression of devotion.

오후에는 참가자들이 나라의 현실과 기도 지향에 대해 프레젠테이션을 진행하였으며 이를 통해 참가자들은 서로의 현실과 어려움을 배우고 공감할 있는 시간이었습니다.


 









The day concluded with a communal Rosary prayer, during which pilgrims visited all 11 altars. This unified moment of reflection and intercession highlighted the program’s mission to foster spiritual solidarity, cultural appreciation, and shared commitment to hope and peace across Asia.

저녁에는 나라에서 준비한 Altar 앞에서 나라를 위해 기도를 하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 이를 통해 11개국 아시아 청년들이 하나가 되어 서로를 위해 기도하고 희망을 나누는 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다.
