In August 2024, the International Exchange Team of the Wake-Up International Youth Center in Haemi, Seosan-si, South Korea, hosted a significant event to mark the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’s historic visit. From August 17 to 24, the center became the place for "WE Connect: A Journey of Hope," a week-long celebration that brought together young people from eight Asian countries and one region. A total of 78 participants joined including 10 priests and a vibrant group of young people from Bangladesh, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, and Hong Kong.

2024년 8월, 웨이크업국제청소년센터 국제교류팀은 프란치스코 교황님의 해미 방문 10주년을 맞아 'WE Connect: 희망의 여정' 프로그램을 진행하였습니다. 2024년 8월 17일부터 24일까지 진행된 이 프로그램은 아시아 9개국(방글라데시, 캄보디아, 동티모르, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 필리핀, 태국, 한국, 홍콩)에서 총 78명의 젊은이들과 사제단이 참석한 프로그램이었습니다.

This special youth gathering celebrated the enduring impact of Pope Francis's message of hope and unity, providing a unique platform for cultural exchange and dialogue. Over the course of the week, participants engaged in various activities designed to foster understanding, build connections, and promote solidarity across diverse backgrounds. "WE Connect" successfully echoed the Pope's vision of a connected and hopeful world, reinforcing the bonds among the youth of Asia and commemorating a decade of inspiration and faith.

이 특별한 젊은이들의 모임은 프란치스코 교황님의 희망과 통합의 메시지를 기억하고 아시아 젊은이들에게 문화 교류와 대화의 장을 열어주는 새로운 형식의 프로그램이었습니다. 약 일주일 동안 참가자들은 각 나라의 다양한 문화와 역사적 배경을 이해하면서 서로의 우정을 나눌 수 있는 다양한 활동에 참여하였습니다. “WE Connect”는 프란치스코 교황님의 해미 방문 10주년을 기념하면서 교황님의 메시지와 희망찬 세상의 연결고리를 찾고 아시아 젊은이들이 서로 우정을 나눌 수 있는 성공적인 프로그램이었습니다.
